Lunches
The Programmes committee presents monthly luncheons at
member establishments to inform members of local issues
and government policies by inviting speakers who have
an informed value of current and work events that are
of interest to the business community.
Right Start Training
CCHA has developed and executed a two-day interactive
workshop for School Leavers for the past eight years.
The students are from the graduating class of the BVI
High School, and the Anegada Secondary Division. The training
provides them with knowledge and skills to positively
prepare them to seek entrance into the labour force, gain
employment and be retained at the workplace.
Facilitators for the workshop are drawn from private sector
Human Resources Managers, General Managers, Department
Heads, Business Owners and BVI Government Departments.
After Hours Networking
The monthly Networking program seeks to introduce members
to each other on an informal basis at member establishments
complimented by TICO, RTW & Caribbean Cellars wine
tasting. These informal gatherings provide an additional
means of providing funds for the CCHA as well as allowing
both members and non-members to be exposed to issues and
businesses which they may not be familiar with. It is
also a marketing tool to gain new members. |
