Chef
Showcase 2003
The Chef's Showcase was held Saturday, January 11, 2003
at the Atrium, HLSCC. Photos show some of the tables in
the Atrium and the chefs who participated in the event.
Our goal is to once again introduce culinary activities
to the BVI community. The CCHA Culinary strives to formulate
a team for the Caribbean-wide competition. Toward that
end, we asked various businesses to donate a particular
course for our dinner. We were very pleased with the level
of participation from many restaurants and hotels. We
want to give as many restaurants and hotels the opportunity
to have their chefs participate. In addition, the culinary
program at the college including both the staff and the
students were extremely cooperative and enthusiastic and
used the dinner as a total learning experience.
Therefore, we will endeavor for the remainder of the year,
to do at least one more if not two major culinary events.
So far the committee has organized two successful Chef’s
Showcase. Both events were staged in the Atrium at HLSCC.
