The
Annual Awards Dinner provides incentives and recognition
for individuals, businesspersons and companies throughout
the business and hospitality sectors.
The first Awards Dinner in 1989 was organized under the
leadership of Delma Maduro, the first Awards Committee
Chairperson. Three awards were given that year. 1989 Business
of the Year, Baskin In The Sun, 1989 Hospitality Business
of the Year, Moorings and the 1989 Businessperson of the
Year Award went to Roosevelt Smith, Modern Construction,
Ltd.
Since then a number of new award categories have been
included. This year the categories will be:

• Pioneer In Commerce Award
• Pioneer in Hospitality
• Innovation in Hospitality/Commerce
• Lifetime Achievement Award
